What's a cord?

A full cord is 4 ft × 4 ft × 8 ft of stacked wood (128 cubic feet) — roughly 220–240 split pieces. A single cord delivered is $210 ($140 for the wood + $70 delivery). Buying several? A truckload saves you $30 a cord.

How long does it last?

It depends on how often you burn. A household lighting a fire a couple of evenings a week can get most of a season from a cord; daily burners through an Ottawa winter will want several — which is where the truckload comes in.
